Program Objectives:

All Northwell Health interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) activities are intended to improve patient care, safety and outcomes. At the conclusion of this conference participants should be able to: 

  • Cite the criteria used to diagnose Tourette Syndrome and other Tic Disorders (TS/TD). 

  • Describe the common co-occurring conditions with TS/TD. 

  • Summarize and prioritize evidence-based management and treatment strategies for tics and common co-occurring conditions. 

  • Describe emerging and novel treatments for the treatment of Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. 

  • Identify the roles of all members of the healthcare team and effectively collaborate to improve patient outcomes and ensure optimal practice.
