Organized by the University of Rochester Medical Center in collaboration with the New York Consortium for Tourette, this virtual event has the following learning objectives:

​

  • Recognize the manifestations of anxiety and impact of anxiety in youth with Tourette/ Tic Disorder.

  • Identify various approaches to treatment and the evidence behind treatment options for anxiety in Tourette/Tic Disorders.

  • Recognize the various resources available for patients and families affected by Tourette/ Tic Disorders.

The NJCTS Tim Howard Leadership Academy is a unique, interactive experience designed just for teens with Tourette Syndrome. During their four day stay on the campus of Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA, participants develop and hone their sense of self leadership, self-advocacy and resilience.

 

The Academy is FREE, but the friendships made and the community created is priceless!
